An occurrence has been reported in the suburbs of Nairobi. A hyena and her baby strayed from a park near the city of Nairobi here in Kenya. The two accessed residential areas and the mother hyena attacked a man heading to work early in the morning, seriously injuring the man. His cry attracted a mob. The mother hyena managed to escape beating and retreated to the park. The baby however was not lucky enough. The mob hit it badly with stones and metal bars until it died. In Kenya, killing wildlife is an offense. Now the Kenya Wildlife Service officers are pursuing the killers of the baby hyena. If found they could face charges that could land them in jail. Aside from that, my wonder is, Did the Baby Hyena deserve to be killed?

@Ineeddentures I agree with the opinion. But the humans killed the baby because the mother harmed a human

The humans killed the baby because they are ignorant nasty people.
They uses the acts of the mother as an excuse to satisfy their lust for killing an innocent baby

Of course not! If anything, this situation exists because of human actions in the first place! Wild animals don’t just randomly choose to wander into residential areas. It happens because their natural habitats have been destroyed or taken over by people.
At the end of the day, humans are still responsible. We’ve pushed these animals out of their homes, so now they end up in ours, just trying to survive. They’re not there to cause harm. They’re simply looking for food because that’s all they know. These goes to not only hyenas but to other wild life too that wanders in human areas in search for their food.
It’s unfair to blame them for something they didn’t create. And then this, this is how the people handled the situation by killing the poor baby hyena! There could have been a more humane and responsible way to handle this situation instead of resorting to killing.
This is what happens when the balance of nature is disrupted and unfortunately, humans are often the root cause of that imbalance.
