Scary Day

Went to AmVets and played Trivia. I lost the 1st round, and we were tired when the bar got busy and had to quit on the 2nd round.
A friend of ours came in and she looked pretty pale. About 30 min later she fell to the floor. They called an ambulance and took her to the ER. The Bartender called me later to let me know she was going to be okay, and was dehydrated and low on Potasium. Seems like with all the testing stuff you can buy, there ought to be one to test for Potasium.
Tom was low on potasium a few months ago, and he ended up in the hospital. Today he went to see his doctor and his BP was like 99 over 69 which is really low. He thinks maybe he is taking too much Potasium.
Since Potasium is so important...shouldn't they have a way to test for it? I know when they do your blood work before you see your doctor, they can test for it, but the level of Potasium differs on a daily basis or more. Anyway, so glad my friend is okay.
We had Sub sandwiches for supper.
Loving this beautiful weather...wish it could stay in the 70's year round.

Glad that your friend is doing good. You are right that electrolytes vary on daily basis. We get it checked twice a year with our regular blood tests. If there is condition, doctor might ask for more frequent testing. My uncle's sodium and potassium keep fluctuating. He has to get it tested every alternate week.
