So Illiterate!!

Did you see someone who knows nothing ?? One who is "absolutely" illiterate??
Today I saw an old woman. She is very old. Her face is full of wrinkles. A villager told me she is over 95.
I was surprised to know she doesn't even know which among 5 and 6 is the bigger or the smaller number.
Even more surprising was that she sells tomatoes in the market of the town nearest to her village.
Did you ever come across a person like that old woman??

She sells tomatoes, so how would she knew the correct change to give to a customer or know if she's being cheated?
I have never come across such person.

No, I don't know How does she does all that Before I came across her, I couldn't even imagine of such a person. People must be cheating her.

Thank you. I had never seen such an illiterate person before Nor could I even imagine such people exist. I wonder if customers don't cheat her.

My mother had an employee that was illiterate. He couldn't read nor write as that's what illiterate means. His family was so poor that he wasn't able to go to school. But he was one of my mom's best employee. My mom taught him how to read and write numbers. He does the inventory of all the stocks. How he does it? Just by memorizing the logos of each brand. He has admirable!
He passed away many years ago.

Thank you. There are still many persons who are completely illiterate in true sense of the term. They never went to any school.The villager told me that she was never interested in learning anything.
But I wonder how this old woman can sell her stock without being cheated by customers.

there are many flower sellers in bengal who dont know letters. But they can count and identify the notes and coins
