Those who voted against or abstain from voting lave trade as worst crime against humanity

Its kind of interesting to see how countries voted recently when the United Nations declared the slave trade against black people as the greatest crime against humanity. America voted against it, while European countries who are behind the slave trade abstain. Many people regarded abstainance from voting as a "No".

I haven't heard of this vote, but when you look at history there have been so many crimes against humanity. The Holocaust, the artificial famine in the Ukraine, all the wars... It's honestly hard to say which is the wors crime in humanity ever. Let's just try to avoid having so many in the future.

one of the the things they don't teach us is that it wasn't only Africans who were slaves. There were white slaves in European empires, and 'indentured labourers' were basically slaves. Also, that a lot of white sailors were captured by the Moors and sold into slavery. In Jamaica a building was owned by 'The Lady Musgrave Women's Self Help' where white English women who were captured as slaves were ransomed, came to Jamaica and taught trades. The way we are taught in school makes us think Africans were weak and helpless and Europeans were all powerful.

I think the atrocities of WW II committed against the Jews were a greater crime.

well, only the voters understand why they voted for another crime.

I don't even know which one is worse,..slavery or the genocide of the Jews by the germans

I wondered about the genocide against the jews too, but I think the slave trade deaths were grossly underreported.
