Some Days I Did Care If I Was First

I was a skinny ass in Marine Corp Boot Camp. I always love how they tried to make you feel guilty about everything. Why did you show up to my beloved Corp so small? Why did you not pay my families bills? Do not worry, its not personal, it was to get in your head. The fun part, this recruit is double rationed, meaning I get double food to the normal recruit. These fools would whisper but never a big man who was supposedly to fat, who got half the ration, until the spoiled brat said something/ Must be nice have twice the food. Not really, because stupid Guide is jerk, he eats to fast. I seen him even piss off drill instructor because sometimes they want to show what leading by example means. I never finished my food most times., A lucky few when I beat the line and I go that is a lot of food. In life a target appears just with how the system works sometimes.

It is not fair to be playing with your head just because you are skinny. Sometimes it is inert metabolic issue. And skinny or not you are serving your country. I didn’t know body shaming is a thing there.

@flapiz Good point, but that is whole point of Marine boot camp. Even if it does makes sense, they want to stress you out so bad to see how you respond. People just go I am hungry, I do not care if it makes sense. It's can get ugly and when it gets out of hand, trust Drill instructors step in and that is when the training and teaching gets neat. All that team crap and sacrifice for your brother comes into play.

@crossbones27 I guess real siblings can say mean thing to each other too. And so marine brotherhood can as well. Good that the drill instructors prevent things from escalating too much.

@flapiz Amen, its actually very good teaching if some of the macho recruits can comprehend. They try to stress that too macho, and all that, when you see war, you will be humbled.
