What do you do with your unwanted items?
I prefer to gift it out. Those items that are not good to give out I would recycle them instead of throwing them away like other people do.

I am gift them , too. But if they are not usable or broken, I sell them to those who rag pickers.

I give what I don't want to the thrift store so some 1 else can have it
there's no sense in keeping stuff you don't want when someone else could use it.

@augusta123 I keep a box where I put what I don't want in it till
it's full, So it just depends on how ever long it takes, a month, a yr ?

If I have a friend who could use an item I’ll ask them first. However, I tend to give my unwanted items to charity. Sometimes, I wish I had the patience to sell higher priced items, but that is too much trouble for me to want to mess with.

I do a garage sale and sell them. Every year, I would do a general cleaning and decluttering. I would gather all items that can be sold, some I may give away, and those of no use anymore would go to the bin. Its a good way to earn some extra money out of our preloved items.

@augusta123 Yes, I understand that giving them away is your preference-you already mentioned that in your post. Since you asked what others do with their unwanted items, I was just sharing what works for me. We simply have different ways of handling these things, depending on what suits us best. In the end, what matters is that the items still find good use instead of being wasted.

I rarely buy unwanted items but when I inherit them, I normally throw them away when they become unseful, except I find someone who needs them.
