I Didn't Know Pillows Were So Inexpensive

Mother-in-Law needed new bed pillows because she refused to sleep on the ones the strange man in her bed had slept on even though they washed the pillowcases.
So hubby and I went to Wal-Mart today and bought two for her for only $3-something each.
We didn't know if she preferred soft or firm pillows so we bought the soft ones.
I thought that was a pretty good deal.
Photo is just of a generic stock photo image of pillows from the internet.

@looeyville We visited my aunt today in a care home. Her mind is very sharp. She was telling us about a man who comes into her room and goes through the clothes in her wardrobe, taking them out and saying he likes them. Most disturbing and intimidating. Yesterday a woman came into the room and climbed into the bed and went to sleep while my aunt was sitting on the chair beside the bed. I definitely want to be shot when the time comes for me to be put in a home.

Well, in a strange way, your stories are comforting because then I realize it's not just MIL and this particular facility

@LooeyVille In my job I visited a lot of Church members in care homes - while some places were ok there’s still no such thing as a good one. I tried explaining to staff once that knocking on a resident’s door while entering the room is not the same as knocking BEFORE being invited in. Wasted breath. They just didn’t get it. Very little dignity afforded residents, especially those who can’t speak up for themselves.

Good to know that pillows are inexpensive. I might need some new ones soon.

It’s a good deal, but you usually get what you pay for (you know that already though). When I go Walmart for pillows they just don’t last long. That being said, at some point, the comfort of the pillows is not going to register with her , and it won’t matter much. On the other hand, sometime Walmart can surprise a person…and I don’t always mean in a bad way.
