There are these parasitic plants that resemble noodles which attack the aerial parts of most shrubs and trees. They are yellow in colour and will heavily cover the branches and leaves causing the host plant to die slowly. They badly affect live fences and hedges. So far there is no known solution and one has remove them physically if the affected plant is to survive. They once attacked a section of my fence and had to cut off the affected plant parts and burn them. Any idea how to control them?

I think you should Remove small infestations of dodder by hand and manage large ones with mowing, pruning, burning, or spraying herbicides to thwart seed production. This method should help.
