I've had an issue with my toes feeling like theyre asleep. It doesn't exactly hurt, but it is bothersome.
So, I spoke with my primary care physician and he gave me a referral to a neurologist. Yesterday was my appointment with that dr and they did a test, using what I can only refer to as electicity, to test for neurology. Again, it wasn't painful but it did hurt. Does that make sense.?
Anyhow, they did one of the "electricity" test from the back of my knee to the ankle and oh boy, that HURT. I laughingly told my husband it felt like my leg tried to jump up and run out of the door.
So, I do have a minor case of neuropathy. She said on our next appointment we will discuss it further.

One of our Mylotters’ husband recently had a test for neuropathy, and she said after the tests he “took to the bed”. She said she thought he took it so hard because he was a man.
I’m glad you’ve been properly diagnosed and can get treatment now.

Oh, I can relate. I have neuropathy on the outside of my left thigh (I think it was from nerve damage when I broke my ankle back in college). Sometimes it just feels numb, but it can also feel very hot and painful at times. I hope they can do something to help you!

@Ciclis Yes! I wonder why it feels hot like that. There's no inflammation that I can tell.

@AliCanary I'm unsure why it feels hot, but I do plan on talking to my provider about it when I see her for the follow up appointment.
