WHEW. These last few days have been busy! As some of you know, I skipped town over the weekend. Back in March, I asked one of my best friends (in Philadelphia) if I could use her ESPN at the same time as her during WrestleMania 42. Instead of testing it, she offered to just come get me if I could provide the gas money. Staying the weekend with one of my best friends? Someone I don’t get to see as often as I’d like? Sold! Sooo, let’s get to these last few days, because they led up to and took place during my little mini-vacation. Thursday: I did some work at the coffee shop, heading to the Dollar Tree and back at one point. Later that evening, I went out with the family to pick up some last-minute things for me (and probably the dogs, but I can’t remember). They also had their own errands to run. We went to the thrift store, Home Depot, Giant, and then my brother-in-law’s Mom’s house, where they caught two frogs lol. Once we got home, we all ate and relaxed. It was kind of “do whatever” for dinner, so I just had a sandwich and chips. It’s not healthy, but I just wanted something quick. Friday: I listened to Tim Curry’s audiobook while packing for Philly. I only listen to it when I can zone out (but not sleep). Oh, and this past weekend was Tim’s 80th birthday. He’s a staple of my childhood and one of my favorite actors, so I was excited lol. :) Anywho, my friend picked me up in the afternoon, and we headed back to her place. We made a few pit stops along the way, but we got back in time for WWE SmackDown. I skipped Boston Blue but kept up with the episode through Twitter. After WWE SD, we got situated and went to bed. My PA bestie is a gem because she let me fall asleep to The Golden Girls. She told me later it didn’t bother her, and she even watched a few episodes herself (she hadn’t seen it in a while). Saturday: She went to pick up Dunkin for us. We both used our own apps to get the points, haha. I got a butter pecan Dunkalatte and avocado toast. Friday night, we discussed my helping her with Instacart and us splitting the money, so we took a few orders and did that. Since it wasn’t a full workday, we only made $20-something each, but that was pretty cool. I did hit a personal bump in the road, but as the Beatles song goes, “I get by with a little help from my friends.” We also did a little shopping, and I got a new Sonic the Hedgehog shirt from Five Below and black athletic shorts from Walmart (they’re SO comfortable). Anywho, after we got situated at home, we went out to get Taco Bell and watched WrestleMania 42 night 1 and the post-show. Then it was The Golden Girls and bed. Sunday: My friend had a prior commitment to attend, and it was for her friend’s family only. Honestly, I was happy to have some downtime in the apartment. I filled out my planner for the week, hung out with the cats, and watched Mermaids. I also fell asleep during Mermaids. I didn’t sleep well most of last week, mostly due to the heat, so I think it caught up with me. I eventually asked her if she’d pick up my Dunkin order on the way back, but I only got a vanilla iced coffee. Once she got back, we ordered food (I got pizza fries, and we split the chicken tenders) and watched WrestleMania 42 night 2 and the post-show before putting on The Golden Girls and going to bed. I also started packing throughout the day, but I couldn’t finish until the morning. For the most part, I enjoyed Wrestlemania 42, before anyone asks. :) Monday: I finished packing, and we hit the road for Baltimore, making a few pit stops along the way. We made good time, though. She helped me carry my stuff in and chatted with the family for a few minutes before heading back home. I unpacked, ate lunch, and lounged for a bit before heading to Walmart with my best friend here. We also stopped by Safeway so I could pick up my heartburn meds. I’ll miss my girl, but it was also nice to be back home, with my dogs and in my own bed. I caught the end of WWE Raw. I forgot why I didn’t watch the whole thing. I think I was just too tired. And that was my last few days. I’m going to get back to work because I really need/want to focus. I’ll try to be back soon, or I’ll just focus on my notifications, but I can’t make any promises either way because work comes first. Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone! Stay safe and take care! :)
