Do You Have a Favorite Type of Vacation or Travel Style?

I love to travel based on my budget. I prefer simple guesthouse, explore street food, move quietly and come back with some money intact. Travel is not suppose to add debt on top of your bill. I make it simple as I am not competing with anyone.

If I don't have a budget, id on't travel. When I travel I make sure I would enjoy and not stress out. That's the purpose of it isn't it? So I like to enjoy all the luxuries.

@augusta123 That's why I said if I don't have a budget, I don't travel at all.

It all depends on what you have. You can't spend what you don't have so you won't end up being a debtor.

People save up for things like that. You shouldn't go into debt because you want to do it

I think that is a good way to travel. We usually travel by car, but this year we’ll actually be flying for the first time in 26 years. We are very careful in how much we spend.

I like to go. No itinerary, no plans, just go! I’ve had some of the greatest vacations that way. Last year I ended up in Nevada because I just “went” in a westerly direction…and went to three states (Nevada, Colorado, and Utah) that I’d never been to before! That’s how I ended up in Maine in 2017, and how I went to Montana in 2021. Just go. I don’t know if I could take a “tour” with an itinerary anymore.

Well, I am flexible depending on the budget. There are places that I want to visit that do need a lot of budget but we also save up for something big
