Anxiety and Whatever.

Happy Friday, everyone.
I didn’t go to the coffee shop today. Work hadn’t picked up at the time, and I had plans to go grocery shopping with my best friend.
We went to Taco Bell (she bought me lunch), the Dollar Tree, and Walmart. My anxiety started bothering me in Walmart. I don’t know what’s going on with me and outings anymore, but I’ll have to find a way to manage it. I finished before my best friend did, so I paid and sat at Subway for a while. I find that helps (last week, I paid and sat at Starbucks while shopping at Target with my family).
I’m still adjusting to my ADHD meds, and the adjustment period can increase anxiety. It can also take several weeks to adjust to new meds, and I haven’t even been on these meds for a full month yet. Therefore, I feel it’s too early to make any drastic changes. If I’m still having issues in June, I’m going to ask my psych to either decrease the dosage of my ADHD meds or increase the dosage of my anxiety meds.
But anyway, I’m home and still feeling some slight anxiety, but it’s gone down. Work picked up, so I’m going to get into my zone and shift my focus for a few hours. I’ll be finished by 10 pm, which is when the newest episode of Boston Blue airs.
If the work is still there tomorrow, I’m going to the coffee shop for a few hours. I’m not sure what time I’m going yet, but I’ll get there. I don’t mind going there. I was kind of at peace while there this week, so I look forward to it.
Alrighty, dinner is almost done (frozen pizzas), so I’m going to get ready to eat and get back to work until like, 9:50 pm or so. You all have a good night, stay safe, and take care. :)

Can I ask Tammy how the anxiety manifests itself and what the feelings are like?

I'll feel overwhelmed, or like my heart is pounding, like I need to hide in a peaceful spot (or under the covers for a nap). Sometimes, I may feel like crying. My mind will race, and I'll be focused on the anxiety itself (not thinking about it is easier said than done).

Aye
Feeling over whelmed, out of the blue cannot be nice and must be difficult to process
Under the covers was me for a while after I left the Army.
Couldn't cope with normal life.
I get the feeling like crying
I would advise you to do just that, let it go.
You might feel better

Just take it one day at a time. Anxiety happens to the best of us. I'm sure you'll be okay.

@tammys85 Not a problem. I know it is annoying when it feels like it's taking over, but it's an emotion we all share.

I have been fighting anxiety most of my life so I can say when my anxiety level goes up I attempt to just concentrate on whatever I am doing and ignore it, If I am lucky it just goes away, I hope you have a good start to the new week,
