Working -and Rambling- On A Saturday.

Good afternoon, everyone. I’m at the coffee shop working on a few writing orders. Work has been slow most of the week, outside of that bigger order on another platform, but it picked up last night. I don’t have anything else to do, so why not make some money? I’m honestly okay with working today. I just realized the coffee shop is crowded lol. I have my headphones on, and I’m sitting with my back to everyone (to minimize distractions). I’m in my zone and feeling okay, no anxiety looming over my head. On that note, I’m going to find better ways to cope with my anxiety while at crowded stores. For instance, I may get some Bluetooth earbuds, keep the volume down low (so I can be aware of my surroundings), and just get into a more peaceful zone. I’ve already stated that I’ll go sit in the cafe or whatever once I’m finished. I also make a list beforehand, so I don't forget anything, so at least that'll get me in and out. When possible, I'll just place an order for pickup. Target allows that, but Walmart only allows curbside orders. I want to go in and get it. Anyway, I used to love going out, and I don’t want to start hating it, so I’m looking into coping mechanisms. This may be temporary as I adjust to my ADHD meds (which can increase anxiety, which I also have), but why make it worse if I don't have to? I'm glad it's not a huge issue at the coffee shop. :) I’ll check Five Below since I only need them while at crowded/noisy stores. I don’t want to use my work or sleep headphones. My wired earbuds are gonna get in the way, and they’re not very comfortable to wear. They’re just a backup pair in case my other pairs break. Okay, back to everything else. I may need to run home here and there to help my older sister with something, but it’s not a big deal. I don’t mind the walk, and one of my friends is working and said she’ll watch my stuff if need be. If I need to run home, I need to remember to grab my lip balm. I keep three in my bag and managed to leave them all at home. I proofread “out loud” (usually in a whisper or no actual sound at all), so lip balm is usually a must. I’m okay for now. Fortunately, my best friend gave me a keychain that holds lip balm. It’s on my desk, so I’ll attach it to my keys when I get home and never worry about leaving my lip balm behind again. So anyway, I have no idea what I’m going to do when I get home. I may continue working or work on other projects. I may participate in offline activities. It all depends on how I’m feeling, and I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. Welp, this post has been a mess. I may post again soon, though. I’m feeling motivated lol. In the meantime, I’m going to get back to work. I’ve been mostly focused on that, or this post would’ve been up sooner lol. I’m glad my meds help with that, though. You all enjoy the rest of your day. Stay safe and take care. :)

I have Bluetooth over-the-ear headphones (which I prefer over earbuds). I use those most of the time; usually when I'm working or in the family van. My sister bought me sleep headphones for lying down (they also have a lower volume). It's actually a headband with built-in earphones, and it doubles as an eye mask (you can find them on Amazon). I bought the wired earbuds long ago, and I only use them when I need to because they're uncomfortable. I just want Bluetooth earbuds for when I'm at stores because they'll drown out whatever's making me anxious without getting in the way. Plus, they're not as noticeable. I don't want to walk around in my headphones lol.
