TOPIC: When God says yes
SUB-TOPIC: Introduction
TEXT: 1John 5 vs 14
from time to time we hear this statement
"when God says yes, no one can say no"
while this is a very powerful statement, do we actually understand what it means for God to say yes?
Believers today tend to assume God saying yes simply means answering their prayers or granting their desires. while this might be true to some extent, it is way deeper than this. when God says yes, it means it aligns with His will and purpose for you, not just your desires. there are also cases where God's purpose might not even be part of your original desires.
Keypoint ??
Most Christians assume God saying yes means freedom to do it how they want, but it actually means instructions. When God says yes, it comes with specific instructions, and if these instructions are ignored, you are no longer working under his authority.
When God says yes, it does not always equate smooth sailing. a lot of believers often assumes once God says it would automatically be a journey without any difficulties. while this might be the case sometimes, there are also times where God's choice brings difficulties and trials your way. the difference here is the fact that He is with you, hence He instructs you on how to overcome.
To be continued...
Happy Sunday

So true. God’s “yes” isn’t a blank check, it’s a contract with terms.
God said yes to deliver Israel, but the “instructions” were step-by-step plagues, Red Sea, manna. Ignoring instructions got them 40 years in the wilderness.
