It was a crazy morning. Turns out hubby left his keys in the truck last night and this morning it was completely dead. So we had to rush to switch vehicles and now I have to borrow mom's car to get to work.
We've been looking at trucks, it's just finding time to get up there right now. Saturday instead of yard work we may be going to the dealership. It'll definitely be rough but I think we can make the payments work.
Yesterday was career day at the middle school. I went as EMS but we were next to...well everyone lol. I had rescue on my left then Smithville Fire and County on my right. I got to see a bunch of my friends and a few of their kids. Cheyenne's girl got me good when she hugged me. City used their ladder hose to let the kids run through and she did. I didn't realize it of course so when she hugged me to go back in I got wet. They're all great kids and I love em.
I used the rest of the day to catch up on laundry and get some of these football cards put away. There are more to do but there's a dent. It's a hard to see dent but it's there.
Today I go to work for Chris, sitting with her grandmother. Which means it's an easy day. I have a bunch of computer work to do, I'm still saving up points for things. If I can use those instead of actual money it'll help in the long run.
I'm putting more Mother's Day in the shop and hopefully we'll get more sales soon. I know it's hard for people to come out to the shop but I'm hopeful that once everything is actually settled it'll be good for us. I keep putting up pictures and doing Lives on Facebook so all I can do is hope.
As for the yardsale items well, I'm working on pricing everything right now as we're going to try to have one on the 16th. As long as the weather lets me that is. We have so much and I'm looking forward to getting it out there. This is also the first step in getting everything that we have for yardsale out in the shed. I like selling and it helps with the bills.
I finished reading a couple books. To be fair they were small-ish. I finished A Perfect Love by Bethany Monaco Smith and the The Protective Fire Chief by Celia Sky. That second one was really short. Like maybe 60 pages. I didn't realize it when I started it and there wasn't much plot there. Very quick. Now I need another book...so I started the monthly series by J. Kenner. January first and I'll catch up to May then we'll go from there depending on how long it takes me to catch up.
Hubby's blanket is finished, I just need to get the stars on it. I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet. That still leaves the blankets for Kristie and Chris. Plus he still wants me to make the First Responder Agency blanket.
The library is coming along up at Gram's. I'll be done for a while...probably by the weekend. Then it's just getting floors fixed and things moved out and moved over. Like dominoes lol.
All in all there's great progress and I hope we can keep it up. We need to stick with a budget and try to save what we can. Slowly but surly it's all working out.
What is everyone else up to today?
It's officially 5 in the morning here and all I want to do is go back to sleep. It's raining but warm which makes it sleeping weather.

I hope your yard sale goes well.
Thanks for the update.
I'm just trying to catch up here. I didn't go on the computer yesterday.

We have the opposite. No real wind but a lot of rain.

I don't know about toxic. I think that's a pretty harsh way to describe the morning lol. We've had worse starts
