Hello, all! It's 7:09 p.m. by my computer clock.
The day went well--aside from when I and a co-worker were supposed to clean up a classroom, and as we were going out things kept happening like wheels locking on one of our carts, or one of them completely coming off the cart I was pushing, then things falling off the cart (more like a wagon) she was pulling three times...I called it a comedy of errors.
One thing I've noticed about this job is that physical things (like walking down the road and up the hill to get to work after I get off the bus) are getting easier. I'm glad about that. I know if you continue to do physical work you get more and more used to it, but I'm surprised because I'm so not physical.
Tomorrow's Friday, and I was supposed to do the project with the kids. Turns out I'm not, because we're being kicked out of the room we usually use due to kindergarten orientations. In a way I'm kind of relieved, because while I would want to do the "sensory bottle" project I was planning with well behaved kids, I was having visions of these kids pouring the contents of the bottles all over the floor, and finding ways to pry the lids off after they'd been glued (hot or otherwise) on and such.
I just couldn't think of anything else once I came up with the sensory bottles.
Right now I'm having some tortilla chips I brought home from church last night, and while it's not much of a dinner it's probably all I'll have.
I hope that all is going well with you in your part of myLot land!
