I am scammed by the Specs Shop

Around 6-7 months back, I had to order a new frame and get myself progressive lens...which means, I have power for both near and far. After spending good amount of money (INR 6,000 = USD 64) I got a good frame, and when the specs were delivered, it was comfortable to my eyes..but somehow I felt a bit of hazy vision for far object viewing, but I didn't think much, as I thought it will get better once I adjust to it. Today, when I visited my ophthalmologist, he checked my glasses and revealed that - even though the near vision is perfect, for the far vision they have provided plain glass....which was so shocking. I visited the shop again and shouted at them, luckily there were few customers. The shopkeeper felt akward and agreed to make the changes free of cost.

I'm sorry to know that. Good thing they are willing to change it at no cost at all because you already paid for it in the first place even though it was months ago

Wow, that was really shocking. Good thing you had those glasses checked by an ophthalmologist and confirmed there was something wrong with them. Progressive lenses can be pricey, but giving someone fake ones is just awful. Next time, it’s better to find another optometrist to make your glasses and avoid going back there.

Oh, that’s pathetic. I’m glad he’s changing it for free. As he obviously should.
