A Man Like This

A man ,who lives in our town and is a stranger to me, asked one of my friends for money. My friend flatly refused to help him.
I asked my friend why he refused to help that guy , especially when he was in need.
My friend told me that the man doesn't deserve any help. He added that the man had borrowed money from many persons, but never repaid his debt. Even my friend had lentils him money several times, but never got a single cent back.
My friend told me the man is not poor. He has sold many pieces of the land he owns, but doesn't pay what he had borrowed from others.
I thank God I'm not his friend. He is a stranger to me.

Thank you. As my friend told me, he has only one problem. He doesn't want to repay his debts.

Thank you. I had lent money to some persons, but they returned it back when they had money. I didn't know this person.
I agree with you that lending or borrowing money can have an adverse effect on the bond of friendship. However it has never happened with me.

Thank you. My friend told me he doesn't repay his debts. I don't know that man. I have no idea how he uses his money. But he is not poor.

I hope he doens't gamble.
But if he really needs it for valid reason I hope he can find help and able to repay them all.

He has been borrowing money for years, but nobody knows what he did with the money. He never repayed his debts either.
