My friends are planning to spend the coming Saturday night on a raised platform in the jungle. They have managed to have some villagers to build this raised platform on the branches of a tree. They want to see the activities of animals and hear the sounds emerging from the jungle. I have neither agreed , nor refused to accompany them. It would be a nice experience. I want to join them, but would like to have some time to take a decision.

It sounds adventurous and interesting. Taking some time before deciding is a wise choice.

@Shivram59 You make a very good point. If animals are hard to see even in daylight, it would be even more difficult at night. But hearing the sounds of the jungle could still make the experience special.

@eliza_godinez12 I've heard the sounds coming out from the jungle many times. A few days back when I spent one night at the house of one of my friends, we both slept at a out house there. The whole night we heard the calls of jackals and hyaenas. My friends have never had that experience.

Thank you. I asked my friends how would they see animals in pitch darkness. The moment they light their torch , the animal would disappear. They can hear their sounds only. I walk to the jungle every morning. It is very difficult to see animal even in broad daylight.

Thank you. I would not accompany them, because you can't see the animals in darkness. If you light your torch, they would flee within a fraction of a second. You can hear their sounds only.

Since I’m not familiar with the jungle I think that sounds way too scary. I just keep picturing all these agile animals climbing trees. I admire anyone who is brave enough to try it.

Thank you. You don't need to be brave to go to that jungle at night. There are no tigers or elephants. You can see jackals, foxes, hyaenas, rabbits there. These animals are not scary. The only scary animal is hyaenas, in case you disturb them. Otherwise hyaenas run away when they see a human being.

Thank you. It would be an adventure, but how can they see the animals at the pitch darkness. If they light the torch , the animal would flee in less than a second. I walk to the jungle every morning, but rarely spot them. It takes them a fraction of a second to disappear.
