Another Israeli soldier arrested for putting cigarette in the mouth of a statue of Mary

It appears the indiscipline issues among Israeli soldiers will continue for a long time . Another soldier has been sanctioned after he was caught putting a cigarette in the mouth of a Holy Mary statue in Southern Lebanon. Few weeks back, some soldiers were arrested for destroy the statue of Jesus in the same region.

I hope they teach those soldiers to respect other faiths and not be bigots. I think the soldier doesn’t realize he’s actually insulting himself by doing that, since the statue of Mary represents his own people as well, given that she was Jewish just like he is.

They just arrest and punish them for few weeks and we wouldnt hear anything again
