Is it shooting or flowering?

It was last spring when I bought a mango tree from a nearby plant nursery, and planted it in my backyard. At first, it lost a lot of its leaves. However in the last 2 or three month, my mango tree seemed to be able to survive. It started to grow some new leaves on top of its branches. I'm not sure if those are new leaves or ....flowers! I've been trying to upload a picture here. What do you think? Is my mange tree shooting or flowering?

Your mango tree is flowering. These flowers will grow into small fruits in time. I had once planted a mango tree in my sister's house It's now a grown up tree and bearing fruits.

@Shasha_ I'm telling you what will happen. The flowers will grow into small fruits. Gradually they will grow bigger and sweet.

@Shivram59 I believe you. It's just amazing to think that such a small mango tree is already blooming and bearing fruit. I'm just not quite ready to see nature work its magic.

@Shasha_ Well it looks like it's seeding Not sure what's wrong with the leaves but my Laurel bush on the garden has some leaves like that. Then again, is it possible.tbat.a.mango or two could grow from those seed things?

Its a flower. We also have mango trees in our backyard but unfortunately no fruits for this summer. because of the heavy rains

Oh no, that is so heartbreaking about your mangoes! Heavy rain during flowering season is the absolute worst. It washes away all the pollen and knocks down those delicate little blossoms before they even have a chance.

@Soobinah Oh no, that was honestly such a massive letdown! You built up all that excitement to finally get back home and relax, only to find that the tree had no fruit at all. It is so frustrating when the little comforts you look forward to just aren’t there. I am so sorry your trip started on such a disappointing, empty note.
