Hello to Rennes.

After three hours in a very hushed train carriage today we glided into Rennes from Bayeux. Train travel’s not what it used to be. After a bit of a palaver we got into our apartment and it’s astonishingly lovely. Big, well-equipped, squeaky clean, silent …. The photo above is of the house opposite and I just thought you might like to see it. I need to be reminded of the reason for which I don’t live in France - it’s just wonderful even though the people need to speak more slowly and distinctly.

@fleura Yes, I’m sure that back in the day it was one of many lovely houses but the concrete jungle has grown up round it.
