A Myth

Yesterday at noon when I was leaving for a village to meet one of my friends living there, a elderly neighbour came to me and asked me to carry with me a onion or a piece of it in my pocket. He said it would protect me from heatstroke. I didn't like to show disrespect for elders, I got down from my bike, went in and came back with a onion. I kept it in my pocket. He saw me and said I would be safe from the heatwave. Back home from the village, I googled if a onion in pocket can protect one from heatwave. I found it is just a myth.

It's actually not a myth.
