So, when I replaced the other chair I had in here with the new recliner I uncovered alot of un used space. I have decided a plant would look great in there, but it has to be something low light. So, I think I will go with a Boston Fern I have a wild one growing here that could be dug up and transplanted, but that would be a heckuva lot of work since the ground is hard here. Plus they recommend using potting soil for ferns and palms which is kind of expensive. I thought I might shop for some low light plants or ferns to see if I could find an affordable one Food Lion has these ferns that look just like Boston ferns for 15 bucks, but they are labeled as Kelly Marchado..?? I can't find any info on those? Do all ferns have the same basic requirements in terms of light, soil etc? I guess I can go back and look at the tag, update found a mahada fern type. I guess tats it.

I used to have a good sized fern not too far from the front door at one of our houses.
We had side lights on either side of the door, and since we had a good sized front porch, which was covered, the light was light and muted, and the fern did very well.

I am afraid it may need more light than it would have here. Think I am gonna go with a low light palm.

Snake plants are pretty indestructible I had those for years, but the big ones are expensive
