I've Managed to Sprain My Hand

It was about 2 am when I sat up then used my hands to push myself up off of the bed to go to the bathroom. As soon as I pushed with my right hand, it immediately hurt. This morning it is very painful in the fatty area under the thumb down to the palm. Certain motions and movements of my hand cause it to hurt. I don't know it it's a sprain or a break but I'll deal with it unless/until it starts being too difficult. Hubby is opening my medicine bottles for me.
