Today, I begin my series of three-sentence album recommendations, starting with the electronic music album Richard Harvey's Nifty Digits, from 1980! Before there was Trans-Siberian Orchestra or even Mannheim Steamroller, there was the great British composer Richard Harvey. He would go on to score films such as The Little Prince (2015), but before that, he was a one-man electronic music powerhouse! Four years before the debut of Mannheim Steamroller and Richard Harvey's full-size orchestral works such as Fantasia, he released his masterpiece of multitracked keyboards, flutes, guitars, and many other instruments on KPM Music at age 27, Nifty Digits!

Yes, it was originally a background music album, not sold in stores, but I guess when collectors got a hold of it, KPM Music decided to release it on streaming and digital sales platforms in 2009. This album is the reason I am nifty!
