Work Slowed Down Last Week, But I Hadn’t….

Heyyyy. I know, I know, I haven’t been around in about a week. I’ll get to all that in a bit. Right now, I’m at the coffee shop with one of their new seasonal flavors: a pina colada refresher (it’s soda, don’t worry, haha). Work just picked up, so I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to write out this post. My focus needs to shift over to my work. Unlike last week, when work was super slow to basically non-existent. The end-of-the-month slump isn’t uncommon, especially when it falls on a holiday week (Memorial Day). Fortunately, I had money coming in from the previous pay period. So what did I do? I focused on other tasks. Tasks that would usually go on the back burner when I’m swamped with work. I don’t want to list everything I did, but some involved other writing projects that I’d rather keep to myself until I know how they’re going to go. I don’t wanna get too excited about anything. Other stuff was basic tasks, like finally cleaning out my Google Photos and Yahoo! Mail. I’ve made great progress on both. It’s great. I’d normally just obsessively watch the job boards and lounge around the house. Instead, I just shifted my focus to other important tasks. Outside of work stuff, I ran errands on Tuesday (late morning), went to Trivia on Wednesday evening, and went to Walmart on Friday afternoon/evening. One of our close friends had a small gathering for her son’s birthday on Saturday, so I went to that, and it was really nice. Sunday was my day to stay home and do nothing. And now, here I am, at the coffee shop for another hour and a half, getting in some work before it’s time to head home for the evening. Our washer isn’t working right (someone may have one for us, though), so I need to handwash a few things tonight, and then, I’ll take the rest to the laundromat tomorrow. I’m also going to the gym and the coffee shop tomorrow. I’ll try to post, but don’t be surprised if I don’t get around to it. This post is kind of a mess, but it’s fine. I need to focus on my actual work now. You all stay safe and take care. :)

Thank you so much! My niece's bosses at her second job offered their barely-used or unused set. She said they look smaller than ours, which is a relief because at least we know they'll fit!
