So many things happened

I gave myself a pamper day as a birthday gift. Last Saturday I got a whole body massage, and the next morning I went to church first to thank God for another year He gave me. After that, I had a home service for my nails. By 11am I invited my cousins for samgyupsal. My original plan was to cook spaghetti, order pizza and donuts for the kids, and buy buckets of chicken and ice cream too. But one of my cousins wasn’t available in the afternoon, so they suggested we just have lunch instead. We were supposed to grill pork, buy chicken, and fry eggplant, salted eggs, and hotdogs, but I suddenly thought — why not just do samgyupsal so we don’t have to work so hard? After we ate, I said goodbye to them and went back to my apartment. Before I got home, I stopped by a fast food chain near us and bought spaghetti, a burger, and fries for dinner. When I got to my apartment, all I did was scroll through social media and reply to calls and messages from friends and relatives. I slept at 9pm because we had an early flag raising yesterday. I was so lazy and didn’t want to go to work, but I had to. Good thing we didn’t have much going on at the office. But when I was about to go home my boss suddenly messaged us to study the case that was referred to OSG, so i searched few jurisprudence and then decided to leave the office. I wanted to sleep early because Im really sleepy that time, but when i arrived at my apartment I just lay down and started to scroll some jurisprudence about the case, and guess what, I ended up sleeping at 2am after i read so many cases. Now Im so sleepy here in our office. i ask my boss if i can take a nap and she said yes. Gosh! I really wanted to go home now.

I guess doing legal work can be a really stressful job that drains your energy. That short pampering session over the weekend was supposed to replenish it, but it seems it was gone as soon as you got back to work. It’s a good thing you have such a considerate boss who lets you rest on the job. I think they know you’ve worked hard and delivered what’s expected of you.
