Long day today. I tried to make a phone call this morning, and finally got ahold of a guy (after talking with one or two other people) I've been playing phone tag with for a couple of days. A lot of the conversation was on the bus, which made him even harder to hear than he already was. Someone also called me, and so I had fun trying to hear her, too. The bus I usually catch to get to the road where I walk the rest of the way to work was 10-15 minutes late, which made me glad I leave for places early! The lady I ride home with is taking time off work, and when I asked my boss if I could hitch a ride with her, she said she was tired and wanted to go right home, for which I didn't blame her, as she did most of the talking last night and the Boys and Girls Club meeting. I walked down the road I usually come up to get to work, and was prepared to take a Lyft the rest of the way home, when to my surprise here came a bus. I raised my hand so that the driver could see I needed a ride, and had to go a ways to where it stopped. That bus dropped me and another gentleman off somewhere else, and I waited a bit for the bus that would take me back across town. When I got home there was a box from Swanson vitamins at my door. I brought it in, got my keys and went to get the mail. There was someone wanting money, an earnings statement from work, and something about reporting my income for CalFresh (a.k.a EBT, a.k.a food stamps). Tomorrow's Wednesday, and I'll be going back to work and then church in the evening. I may have to take a Lyft tomorrow. Hope that all is going well with you in your part of myLot land!
