We did get a chance to hit Walmart. Although George teased me about going alone. While he's more than capable of driving, he knows he can't go into a big box store on his own like he used to. Shopping is something we've always done together. We love to do so and we go about once a week, unless there's something we need or want.

If he can drive Kayla, why can he not go into Walmart by himself

Well, the stroke made things a bit more complicated. His afasia sometimes makes it hard to communicate.

We worried about that with my dad
Doctor said to let him do stuff but stay kinda close.
So we did.
Amazingly he could find what he wanted in Costco and one day he said
" Don't follow me"
He recovered really well.
Maybe you could try something like that with George

@Ineeddentures I do let him and do encourage him. In a lot of ways, he can do a lot of things now, he couldn't a year ago. But, when it comes to some things, we still work as a team. Mostly because we like it that way. George will bring his drinks around, goes and gets the mail, sometimes he'll take things from or put things in the fridge. He's been putting things on the conver belt at check out, too on his own as well.

Glad you got to get the shopping done, I always find it better if you can go together, I think even if I had not chosen to remain indoors I would still get groceries online shopping alone is not a fun thing to do,

No it isn't. Plus I find that if you have someone with you, you have someone to hold you accountable and keep you from over spendning.

It's something we've always done. Even when he wasn't driving, we'd make the conversations and arguments for buying the things we need.

I don't mind Walmart most of the time, but I don't want to go that often. I try to plan ahead if I can. With the weather the way it is, pain is at high levels.

Our weather wasn't half bad. It hit 84 today and we appearntly had a sun shower whilewe were in Walmart.
