Poor Lucy.

I really do feel bad, quite guilty in fact, because poor Lucy must hate her thankless job and it’s probably the only job that she can get for now.
She called me this morning and I gave her the run around for about 5 minutes which is really quite long, and all she wanted was for me to answer some market research questions about my lifestyle.
She was undeterred when, in reply to her question “How are you today” I regaled her with tales of explosive vomiting and diarrhoea. She didn’t even hang up when I told her the call was being recorded for training purposes.
What finally stumped her was my request for her to show me some photographic identification on the phone. It really threw her and after some confused hesitation the line went dead.
So, sorry Lucy for being horrible to you. I’m sure you’re a lovely person, but please don’t call again.

You were not horrible to Lucy.
She learned a valuable lesson today
She will not phone you again and neither will her colleagues.
I once answered such a call and the person was not out off when I said I was having a dump.
They said they would hang on.
Well done on asking her for identification
I would not have thought of that
