I wonder what is taking so freaking long?

So, I paid a credit card several days ago...the card company acknowledged the payment, but it STILL has not been deducted from my bank account..Say what? That seems way too long. I guess I am going to have to call the bank or the card company. I will give it until tomorrow morning. The bank was also extremely slow about a payment I made last Weds. to the grocery store. It just got deducted yesterday. Maybe they got behind due to JUneteenth, but I don't think their system shuts down. I expected to see alot of payments on Monday, and there was one showing, and two this AM neither the card payment. Has this happened to you?

Yes. Sometimes it's a computer glitch, sometimes it takes the bank longer to processess. Junteenth has been reconized as a bank holiday so banks were closed. It was on a Friday this year, so that meant weekend. Usually if I pay something and there's a holiday in the end of a week, then it takes an extra day or two to process.

@snowy22315 I'm annoyed it exists and that it's a bank Holiday, but we live in America, where there's too much freedom.

I hate when they take so long to deduct payments. One time I waited about 5 days for the mortgage payment to be deducted..and that was a bit worrisome.

For mine it seems to really depend on what it is. I wonder if the card company even sent the request to the bank. I will check with them first I think...nah bank first because that will be easier.

It shouldn't take that long. I guess it's network issue. You can call the card company to know what's going on
