Have you seen any examples where actors nailed an accent, or totally missed the mark?

....so I just saw a clip of Trevor Noah attempting the Nigerian accent and he didn't quite nail it...I'd give him 2/10 It's incredibly tough to imitate the Nigerian accent if you didn't grow up in Nigeria.. I've noticed it in movies too where foreign actors totally missed the mark with the accent when playing Nigerian characters..you watch a movie and you go " that's not how we sound" It really shows how tricky accents can be, and how deep culture runs. What do you lot think?" Have you seen any examples where actors nailed it, or totally missed the mark?

There is a show called Yellowstone, and an actress named Kelly Reilly plays an American. I didn’t know she was really British until I heard her talk in an interview. She nailed an American accent.

@Wrexxo For some reason the only black British man that comes to my mind is Idris Elba, but I don’t think he was in a movie with Beyoncé.

Accents are a very tough thing to do. I think that actors who want to attempt an accent should take lessons or practice before,

That is interesting because Trevor Noah is pretty good at accents. Was his accent more like a country right next to you?. I do find Hollywood does that sometimes in movies or shows, they kind of blend cultures of an whole area to maybe cover that whole area.

It so happens there are many accents in a big country like Nigeria. Not easy for British actors to speak in American accent and vice versa.

accents can be hard to some actors or not. And it can be really obvious especially if someone is talking to a person who really used the language everyday. Just like how you noticed.
