I found this discussion so interesting and to me is album of the year but Mike \is Mike . That's why people do not like him, he is so hard to handle but Tim can. Everyone loves the new album but I do not know anyone who has actually sat down and really listened to its soul. Mike does things as it comes and puts things out as it comes. Tim Armstrong of Rancid is the master of putting incoherent things to coherent. Which is funny in itself because many people go cannot understand a damn thing he says. The way Tim structures their own songs should be in the rock n roll hall of fame. Mike has never been good at that he sees every song as their own story and they are, but they also lead to a bigger better story Tim can comprehend and he knows how to tell it always. That is why I am so happy Social Distortion finally went to epitaph. You have brothers in arms who will finally look out for you Mike. They are called the punk rock review and very cool, but do not feel comfortable with that. You can check it out if you want, but this is a time when we need every one working together to figure out which way we should go next. Its important everyone does their job. Mike is stubborn, but if you convince him, which is very hard to do he will always listen to what you say. He most likely won't do it, sometimes he does but he will listen to you and that is something. He knows when you are right and I dare him to tell Tim Armstrong he is wrong. That would be a neat battle.
