Oh, goodie, I got a new toy from Amazon’s Prime Days last night (a folding desk that I had to put together). I got it put together with no frustration and a few laughs from the instructions (poor translations into English gave us things like “more better” ). When I go home I’ll use it but first, you get another song to celebrate Paul McCartney’s 84th birthday with! #5: Let It Be (Beatles) Paul said that he was happy that this song helped a lot of people with crises and problems because they interpreted it as a religious song. But it’s not. “Mother Mary” is Paul’s mother. Mary McCartney died when Paul was 14 (of breast cancer, the same thing that would claim his love Linda in 1998), so she never saw him as a successful musician. When the Beatles started having problems and falling apart at the seams, McCartney had a dream where the adult man got to visit and chat with his mother. “Let it be, son,” was the message the mom in his dream told him. I did not know the story behind this song. I never thought much about it other than to "Let it Be."
