Not working...

I was trying to make pom poms this afternoon/tonight for a blue bear. They are just not coming out in a way that I like. I think that the blue yarn is the same type as the brown...but maybe not? I'm pretty sure I'm making the pom poms the same way as I did with the brown bear.
One of my blue pom pom "Oopses" I am going to make into something else. 
I guess I'll try again with the brown yarn or even another color I have to see if I can get it to look right.
