St. Lucie County Sheriff (SLCS) deputies answered an emergency call on Wednesday July 1 when two people who were a small motorized boat that was taking on water in the Intracoastal Waterway near St. Lucie Village Florida. The SLCS sent a marine unit to rescue the two boaters who were in the Indian River Lagoon between Torpey Road and a spoil island. The two people were in the water when the deputies with the SLCS were able to pick up the two boaters were wearing their lifejackets before they were taken by the deputies to the nearby boat ramp. Thank goodness no one was hurt in the rescue mission. Lesson to be learned is to wear a lifejacket when being aboard a boat in the water. Link is msn.com/en-us/weather/...
