Happy Tuesday Everyone

I have to say that it was a pretty good day yesterday. I went on the ride along and had one call in like six hours. It wasn't horrible but new thing apparently is that I get to drive. So because technically I am capable and this is training I get to drive and get used to emergency traffic and backing up in the truck. Who knew? I never did that on any of my other ride alongs so it was completely new and I have to say I get her point. A lot of EMS is repetition and muscle memory so the more you do it the better you get. I drove emergent to the call and even backed in straight in the bay this time. I was super excited. It's the small things in life lol. Today I get to work for Chris sitting with her grandmother until 3pm. I plan on catching up on my pen pal letters there and studying. I even left my book in the car so that I didn't have to remember to take it down this morning. There should be one sale today. I sold a shirt so hopefully they show. I tallied the total sales for the shop for the year so far and the numbers suck. It's official I've sunk more money into the business than I made this year. It's pretty disheartening but my husband told me not to give up. So in answer to that I'm gearing up for fall and halloween. We'll see what happens and if I can get it to pick up a little bit. Try at least. I'm still reading The Final Target by Nora Roberts. I actually got some reading time in last night but I think I'm wearing my eyes out with everything. Before I leave for Chris's today I'll be looking for my glasses. Hopefully they help a bit. Cleaning is still happening and we're still caught up on all the yards. I think since we're both off work tomorrow he's going mow. Oh that reminds me, we're being sworn in as CASA members tomorrow. I'm super excited. Due to not being that busy right now though she said we may only be in court for an hour but that's fine with me. What's everyone else up to today? With the heat it's salad for dinner and I'm looking for the Italian pasta salad recipe I have. We pretty much agreed I'll be dropping Wednesdays from Chris's schedule and I'll be able to do a little more. Including cook which makes me happy lol.

I’d be so nervous driving that ambulance! I can’t imagine being able to back that sucker up in the bay either! And it sounds very exciting that CASA is swearing you in. That’s a big responsibility, but so worthwhile!

I used to be nervous but I'm getting better. Some of the roads here are sketchy so it's a learning curve. We're really excited for this new chapter and can't wait to get started. It's a small blessing though that we're not needed right away.
