The British Queue - I saw one today in Manchester.

For some odd reason, while I wasn’t paying attention, it was decided that today we would go to my granddaughter’s school summer fair - right up my alley.
It was boiling hot with nowhere to shelter from the blazing son. Mothers whined, children complained and fathers looked bored.
While my wife, daughters and grandchildren oohed and aahed at the tombola and children’s faces dropped when they saw the state of the prizes, I was left standing with bags of accouterments in the playground.
I retreated to my happy place and was spending time in Istanbul in the snow. As I emerged from my daze I noticed that a queue of about 10 families had formed behind me, and I don’t know what delight they imagined was at the head of the queue, but when I moved away leaving them all looking a bit silly they were quite annoyed at me.
So I walked on home.
Do you ever have queues forming behind you randomly?

It's just following the herd at times. I have met people in queues who are clueless about the queue.
.
Interesting observation...Fathers are always bored in such events

Now that is hilarious. In the US we don't queue; we stand in line.

No but I've had queues form and wondered what I was missing out on so I've asked the last person in line what they were standing in queue for and sometimes they didn't even know.
