Rest house Day 1 We arrived at the rest house early, we were at the rest house by 7am, it takes 5 hours of travel time from our villa. The first thing I did was go to my favorite room where you can see the ocean view. I was planning to just take a nap since I couldn’t sleep while on the road. It’s because Damien’s teammates were so noisy. Though there are only six of them including Damien, it feels like you have a whole team’s worth of noise with them. I didn't notice the time, and when I woke up, it was already 12 in the afternoon. I slept so deeply. I noticed someone next to me also sleeping. It was Damien. My eyes widened, I didn't know why, but suddenly my heart started beating fast. I didn't wake Damien; he looked like he was sleeping soundly. I watched his gentle face, and he looked like an angel asleep too. I told myself; this guy is cute too. I got up slowly so Damien wouldn't wake up. I'm planning to go outside to check if there is food for our lunch. In the kitchen, I noticed that food was covered, and there were notes, Breakfast for you, I didn’t wake you up because you were sleeping soundly. Then there are the initials of D. I noticed Derick, James, Jade, and Mark are outside. They are Damien's teammates who are with us at the rest of the house. Some of them have looks too, especially Mark. Tall, dark, and handsome. You cannot resist his genuine kindness. I was turning away when Derick suddenly shouted Derick: Ashley, come join us, you can have breakfast here by the pool. So, we can also have something to talk about. Well, I agree, they know me too, because I always see them when practicing basketball. I peeked into Damien's again, and it looked like he was still sleeping. So, I prepared a cup of coffee, then I went to the pool with my breakfast. I've noticed that Mark keeps glancing at me, so I just keep quiet. I just watch them enjoying the pool. Suddenly, I noticed on the balcony of the resthouse, Damien was standing there just looking at us. I just waved my hand. Then he smiled. But he looks upset, or maybe he's not in the mood. I already went up to check for lunch. And I called Aling Rosita, our housekeeper at the rest house. I asked her to be with us while we stay at the rest house so someone can cook for us. I also don't want Damien to get tired from cooking; he might not be able to enjoy our trip to the rest house. When I saw Damien, I said thank you for breakfast. Then I smiled. You fell asleep right away, so I just set the food aside for you. Sorry, we were a bit noisy on the trip earlier, so maybe that's why you couldn't sleep during the trip. We left early earlier. Damien said. It was just the right time that Aling Rosita was about to finish cooking lunch when Damien's teammates suddenly arrived. Damien sat next to me to eat lunch. Meanwhile, I feel like Mark was looking at us. At night I was walking along the beach, it was still bright since the streetlights had been upgraded. Then suddenly Mark called out to me. Before I left the resthouse, I left them drinking. He waves his hand and says hello; can I join you and chat as well? Mark said Sure. So why are you here I thought you were with them drinking. As I told him. They're already drunk and probably a bit sleepy too, but I'm not sleepy yet, so I went for a walk. It's perfect that you're here, that's why I called you. Mark said I know Mark is drunk too, because I can smell the alcohol on him and his eyes are a bit red or he's kind of sleepy too. We talked too much, I didn't know he talked that much. When I first got to know Mark, he was quiet and only loud when he's with his team. Suddenly he said “Ashley what if someone likes you what will you do” I didn't answer right away because I don't have any experience when it comes to things like that. I just said I don't know and then I smiled. If someone tries to court me, maybe I'll give them a chance. “I just said” So can you give me a chance, Ashley. “Mark said” I didn’t reply right away, it’s just that Damien suddenly approached me, he’s been following us for a while. Bro Mark, it’s already night and you two are still outside Damien said, Damien suddenly pulled me home. Mark was following us. You could see irritation or anger in Damien's eyes as we walked. Me and Damien are in my room, since we have 3 rooms in the resthouse, each room has 2 of his teammates. Damien, I asked, are you ok? Yes, next time do not walk at night, your mom may get mad at me if he knows that I'm neglecting you. Damien said. I frowned, what is he saying? Anyway, let’s sleep, it’s already late night. As I spoke. I just take a shower quickly. When I looked at Damien, he was already sleeping. So, I get to bed slowly so he will not be awakened, suddenly he asks. What did Mark tell you earlier? “Damien ask” Nothing, we just talk about school stuff and future, as I said. Why? Damien replay “nothing just asking” …………. Day 2 at Resthouse I woke up early, and Damien was still asleep. It was only five in the morning, so I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth. When I came out of the bathroom, Damien was already awake, and he was holding his phone. I greeted him with good morning, I've already made some coffee because I plan to have coffee on the beach and watch the sunrise. I didn't expect Damien to join me, so we went together to the beach and had coffee. He started with, 'How was my sleep?' he asked. 'It was fine,' I answered. I felt like he wanted to say something but couldn't, or maybe he didn't know how to start. A silence followed. While we were having coffee, I was the one who started asking, Damien, do you want to say something? Because I noticed you were anxious last night. Damien didn't answer right away; instead, he just said nothing was wrong, but you could see the wrong emotion on his face. I just smiled, I just said if you need something to tell just tell me. For lunch, Aling Rosita cooked grilled squid and tuna. She knows I love grilled tuna the most. I sat next to Damien. Suddenly, Mark handed me some grilled squid. Suddenly Damien said that Ashley is allergic to squid. I was surprised because he knows about my allergy to seafood. Damien and I looked at each other, and then he suddenly took my plate to put tuna on it, saying that it's his favorite while winking. I just thanked him. And to cut the awkwardness, I said that I scheduled an island hopping. So, we could go around before heading back to the city. It's really a good thing that Damien had other teammates with him. Of course, as usual, they were playful. After we had lunch, we started getting ready for island hopping. And it seems like they enjoyed it. They already swam in the sea, but I just stayed on the boat since I don’t know how to swim. Damien also came back to the boat to keep me company. We chatted while watching his friends. Then all a sudden he said, 'You know, Ashley, you're so special to me,' and laughed mischievously. I didn’t know how to react, so he splashed me with sea water. I felt my cheeks turn red. So even though I don’t know how to swim, I just jumped into the water. Luckily, Damien was quick to help and got me back to the boat. Mark quickly also went up to the boat to see why I suddenly jumped into the sea. I just said, 'I thought it was shallow,' when I lied. Meanwhile, Damien was holding back his laughter. During our entire stay at the resthouse, I became even closer to Damien, especially because of the kindness he showed me. We went to bed early because the next day we had already decided to return to the city. Before I went to sleep, I talked to the caretaker and relayed what my parents wanted me to say. The next day before we left, we said goodbye to Aling Rosita. Just as we were leaving, Amy (Aling Rosita's daughter) arrived. Amy is already in 3rd year high school, almost the same as us, but she studies in the province. My parents are the ones sponsoring Amy's schooling, since she’s listed as one of my dad's scholars. Hi Ash, it's Amy calling, too bad I missed you all. If I had known you were coming here, I would have come too. (she used to call me Ash). I just smiled and said goodbye. On the road me and Damien sit together at the back side. I just called Bong our family driver, to pick up as again. Since he drives for us when we go to the resthouse. His home is near also in the resthouse. So, we can take a rest while we are on the road. I noticed Mark is looking at our area where me and Damien sit. It’s been a long drive again and too much traffic. I didn't notice the time until we got to the city. I just dropped off Damien's team near the mall. Damien came along too because they planned to have dinner at one of their friend's restaurants, but I didn't join. I just went straight home to rest. Until I received a text from Mark.......
