What will always be remembered is the corruption.
Where Trump can have a red card removed.
Where fouls go unseen by the referee and VAR but are evident to everyone who is watching.
At many points in the matches there was so much physical contact it looked like Rugby.
The commercial breaks were to fill already stuffed pockets,
For those of us who have followed football for most of our lives aberrations were allowed, and hailed.
Let us see if FIFA will correct the flaws, or let the World Cup descend to unconscionable levels.

If you watched the matches, the lack of fouls given by the Ref. It made the whole series a bit dicey. Argentina played well. Spain had been holding itself back from start to deceive. It is only when they encountered France they went full speed

@Aquitaine24 this time, the US put down it's 'laws'... never were there commercial breaks save for half time. And never so much un carded fouls

Infantino wants a 64 team World Cup!! That would get some Caribbean teams though but mukti country hosting,even more expensive for fans

this last WC was unbelievably expensive. It was also very long... and a lot of matches weren't aired on our local TV.. some were hours after the match. I don't know... some people can't just close their office and watch the WC...(I used to do it... not only close but went to a particular guest house where the TV was in direct line of the bathroom

There is no honesty under absolute power. Truth belongs only to those with money and power. Fair play is just a slogan to legitimize their interests. So, don't expect FIFA to change.
FIFA will only dare to enforce the rules when dealing with small countries. When dealing with rich and powerful nations... no rules apply.
This is normal, it's like that everywhere. Don't be too sad. Let the truth find its own way.
