George asked me yesterday when I needed to go to the DMV to renew my state I.D. card. I told him I needed it done by Friday because my Birthday is Saturday and they'd be closed. So he told me he'd take me today. So, he takes me to the brance closest to our house, which specializes in tag and title work, but can do things like licienceses and I.D. cards. Well, that was by appointment-only, no walk-ins for that. That was the first fail of the day. George then took me to the one in South Daytona, which is the actual DMV, and I thought we'd be more successful there. We were, kind of. They request you do an eye test to prove you can see well enough to drive. GThey have you look through some benocluars, and read a line. George failed, twice. Was not surprised. George has mild to modorate expressive affisia, and it comes and goes. But, the woman was kind. George's licience is still valid for another eighteen months. So, she gave it back. She also gave us a doctor's form for the eye doctor to fill out saying that George can see well enough to drive. And, I got my licience renewed. So, George can still drive. I can make an appoitment for the eye doctor, and we're good to go. He can still drive and we shopped. At Publix at laditude landings. All in all an end to a different kind of day.
