If you want to smile, keep reading. John and Jerri Carroll celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary this year. John, a WWII hero, and Jeri, got a special celebration from their local McDonald’s, where they meet a group of their friends every Friday morning, and have for decades. Through three children, seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild they kept a promise they made all those years ago. Can you imagine all they have seen? All they have weathered? Their grandson noted they have served their community, their church, and each other. I love hearing about enduring promises. I’m sure things were’t always easy, but every day they got up and chose each other.

It's so great to hear of stories like this. To hear that couples have stayed together so long. Such a success story.

That is amazing, and even more amazing that they both must be around 100.

In this day and age of war and hatred and the 'me first' attitude it is great to realize that there is depth to the lives of some in our world, and that we can all stand to learn alot from them. This is the perfect example of life-long love.
