Remembering Green Acres

Today in my online travels I was searching on YouTube and came across the old TV show “Green Acres." It starred Eddie Albert and the lovely Hungarian-American actress Eva Gabor. The one character who was among the most popular was a pig named Arnold Ziffle. He was played by a Chester White-breed pig. In the show the farmer Fred Ziffle and his wife, Doris, treated Arnold like their son. They all lived in the fictional farming community of Hooterville. I took a look at one episode of the old series and knew right away why I loved it as a child but would not watch it now.

@snowy22315 I know children enjoyed the show and the pig but I also think some adults watched just to enjoy Arnold.

I remember seeing the television series :"Green Acres" on the Southern Command Network (SCN) in Panama. Memorable television carries the show on reruns on television.

Arnold ruled. That show was so bizarre. Wonder if the writers were on something?

@teamfreak16 who knows but what really surprised me that an actress like Eva Gabor actually agreed to appear in this show.
