Its been a rough couple of days
..one incident that really struck me is this..a
so-called friend came begging for cash, swearing she'd pay back on the dot.
.. Fast forward, nothing but silence and dodging. I asked her for the money and she kept promising. She totally disappeared..ghosted me..
I see her and she act like I'm invisible. This isn't the first time, but trust me, it's the absolute last.
Why do people borrow with full chest and then form amnesia when it's time to refund? It's just premium eye-service. Its the people that are closest to you that hurt you most not your enemies.

Ah well... that happens, yes.
Which is why I don't really lend anyone money.
Unless it's money that I don't really need back...
It is hard because I would hope that if I am ever in dire need, I can ask someone for help... But my thinking is if I find myself in that situation, if I am refused, that's life, we can't really expect or demand... But if someone does help by lending me money, I will make absolutely certain I pay it back in time, if not early. Because I firmly believe in "do unto others... ... ..." (you know the rest).

I hope you never lend money to anyone again. You deserve so much better than to be treated so poorly. You have a good heart, but too many people don’t. I’ve given money to plenty of people, but I’ve always considered it a gift because I don’t expect them to pay me back. I don’t want to be upset if they neglect to repay me so I look at it as a gift.

Oh there's a lot of them out there and I have experienced it too many times. And those so-called friends aren't my friends anymore. I just tell myself, it's just money that I lost and that person lost a friend. Money I can easily recover, but a good friend, nope.

I have had to deal with a few persons who ask me for money claiming to be broke. I give them the excuse I am broke myself.

That's the best way to learn who is really a friend. Lend them money.

This has happened with me, too. Years ago a man, who we knew, but was not my friend, asked me for two thousand rupees. It was the time when I was jobless and had no money. However I borrowed from one of my friends and gave him the amount. Years passed on and he didn't paid me the money. I don't know where he is now.
Dishonest persons are everywhere in the world.
