Unsatisfying justice.

I see that police in Germany have shot and killed the man suspected of ramming a crowd in Germany with a van. He killed one woman and injured quite a few others.
It’s hard to know how to react to him being killed. At least he can do no further damage, and there’ll be no need for an expensive trial and years of incarceration at the expense of the German tax payer.
On the other hand, society doesn’t get the opportunity to see the culprit put on trial with all the evidence put before a court. Society doesn’t get to convict and sentence the criminal and so justice doesn’t get done properly.
Where are you with all of that?

He was trying to attack police and innocent bystanders. He had pre-planned this action
