Not to be animal obsessed but seeing foxes has become quite routine

I saw one for the second time streaking through the yard. I am a bit perturbed with them because they either ate or chased all the squirrels away. I think the woods just behind my house have become a killing field. Remember when I was talking about that turtle I saw the other day? I came to the conclusion it was looking for somewhere to nest back there, at least that is what I read online. I hope the fox doesn't find it or babies. I had some turkeys nesting back there one time..and a fox or coyote harassed it or ate it or something. Anyway, if they were alive they pulled up stakes. Maybe the same with the squirrels. There is only a small one that shows up in the front.

They are smart. They have to live by their wiles.

I've only seen a handful of foxes in my lifetime.

I hadn't seen a lot either until recently. They are doing a fair amount of construction here in the development. They may have had to relocate from where they were before. I think they hit pay dirt here though..That is why they are hanging around.

@snowy22315 Interesting. I don't even know if we have them here on Mt. Diablo.

The red fox has given up sleeping on the chaise lounge. I am glad about that..although it was fun to see it. I just don't want them that close to the house.

These foxes seem to like to zip around. I usually see the red one though. I haven't seen the grayish one lately.
