Hubby Behaved Today for Auction Pick Ups!

We had a nice pleasant day today picking up auction wins and dropping off a guitar to have settings adjusted. We dropped the guitar off first because it made for a straight run of all three stops. Once that was done we went to our first auction pickup. That didn't take too long. I only had an Aztec Sun Stone, Onyx Mortar Set, and a couple of ceramic serving trays to wrap up. All other things were digital cameras, Black & Decker waxer, Black & Decker Jigsaw, a mircroscope, and a Moen Bathroom faucet. I really lucked out there on the Moen Faucet. It retails for over $425 and I got ti for only $17.50. Next stop is my favorite auction house. They have a variety of things each week on auction and a sense of humor too. Today we got to meet the owner of the business. He was very nice. The assortment we got here today was kitchen items: pots, pans, baking pans, stainless steel mixing bowls, a lot of baby dolls, 2 lots of purses, a lot of jewelry, Thun dinnerware, Saparna dinnerware, 3 fishing reels, a hedge trimmer, a set of Rae Dunn wooden Easter Eggs new in box, kitchen utensils, Large Vase, New Nascar watch, wooden prayer bowl and a couple of new decorative journals. They started in on my husband as soon as we walked in and I told them that he had already been warned to behave today. They still gave him a hard time. He was looking around as I was packing things and wrapping all the breakables. He was looking at a big container of deer horns. The owner jumped in and told him that he would make him a good offer on the bundle. He told them that was okay because he had no place to store them. I was loading up the car when he came outside with another cart of our stuff and I asked him if he was getting the deer racks. He said that he would like them, but didn't know where he would store them. They would not go in the house because they attract mice since they are pure calcium. So I told him we would just go get some storage bins tomorrow and put them in there. He went back inside and bought the whole bundle for $100. He plans on selling them to knife makers or someone that wants to make a light fixture out of them. We got those loaded by placing them wherever we could in the car. The 2 guys that run the place were helping a lady load furniture in her van and I stopped and told them laughing that the only way he got them in the car was because I packed them and/or told him where to put them. He has been fired for loading there before and we have had to unload for me to organize things and reload. They both laughed and we headed on down the road. Continued soon with Part 2 of the day!
