Auction Pick Up Day: Part 2

After we loaded up the last auction pick up of the day, my husband was hungry as usual. He did help loading more today and had all the deer horns that I helped him load, so he worked off his lunch, which was on the small side and quick. We decided to see what was in the area and was looking for a good Chinese place or BQ. We ended up resorting to the GPS and what restaurants are near us and found Little Willie's BQ. It wasn't far away and we found the place with no problems. We both got a 2 meat plate with 2 sides. OMG, the food was delicious. I may have to throw up a post about that place! As we were eating, I noticed a pawn shop in the shopping center next to the BQ place. So we headed over there after we finished our early dinner. My husband thought it was closed, but the open sign was flashing on the window. It was a good choice for stopping. They had just gotten a Fender guitar in that looked brand new! He was reluctant to get it, but I told him to check it out online and he could always sell it if he didn't want to keep it. The guitar retailed for around $200; it's a beginner guitar and came with a soft case. So he decided to get it. While he was checking out, I browsed the jewelry and found a vintage 14K gold diamond ring. It was lovely and I really liked the style. Of course the clerk was over to open the cabinet as soon as she finished checking him out. I tired the ring on and it was my size. Perfect! He told me to get it if I wanted it. I debated but thought, hey, we don't usually buy birthday and Christmas gifts for each other--we get what we want when we see something or need it. So, we put it on layaway!
