Firefighters in California rescue a man and his dog who were in a canal

Firefighters with the Fresno Fire Department in California to rescue a man who was being swept away when the man was trying to rescue his dog that fell into a canal on Tuesday afternoon.
The firefighters used their life saving equipment to rescue the man who was clinging to the side of the canal while holding on to his dog.
After the firefighters rescued the man and his dog, the man was taken to a local hospital with injuries while his dog was reunited with his family since the dog did not suffer any injuries,
The Fresno firefighters are asking people to stay from canals since they are dangerous places to be at due to the strong currents and fast moving water, Not to mention have their dogs on a leash.

Glad they are both going to be okay--but I have never walked any of my dogs near a canal.

Neither would I walk any dog near a canal. Just walk near a levee.

Glad they are all right but what in the world was he event hingk about going on the canal if just him but the takes the poor dog with him too,

That is true since canals are dangerous places to be near walking.
